A word from your Community Spiritual Directior.

Good evening HOTO,

My name is Michael Bolin and I serve as your new Community Spiritual Director. This coming weekend was intended to be HOTO WALK 96. While the Walk has been rescheduled, I was curious if this community would still take part in a 72-hour prayer vigil? Instead of being in prayer for the pilgrims and team of Walk 96, how about we join in prayer for our community?

Emmaus has been a ministry used by God that has helped each of be reaffirmed in the unconditional love of God. Our Reunion Groups were designed to place Emmaus alumni in an atmosphere where by all could have confidence “that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil. 1:6). Yet, we know that our community is not living to its fullest potential in Christ Jesus.

As your Community Spiritual Director, I want to encourage us to embrace this time that was already allocated for WALK 96 to be our time of prayer for renewal and revitalization of Heart Of The Ozarks Emmaus Community. Let us be specific in asking God to give this community a few things:

  1. A renewed steadfast spirit
  2. Hearts that would once again burn within us for this ministry
  3. That the passion of Christ would move us in piety, study, and action
  4. We would have eyes to see those who are spiritually RIPE to be pilgrims

May we join in prayer believing Matthew 18:19, “…if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”

If you are willing to participate in this special prayer vigil, please respond to this email by “replying all” stating what time you will pray.

Thank you for your love of Christ and your willingness to serve our Savior.

Thank You,

Michael Bolin

Women’s Walk #96, has been postponed until Oct. 3-6, rather than in March.   There were some things not coming together for the walk in March.   It is already proving to be a wise decision.  People who are already committed to work, need to confirm that they are still committed to work the walk on Oct. 3-6.  The Spiritual Director is committed for the walk, as are others that found March a difficult time.
Times for training are August 17 and Sept 21, tentatively.  Two longer training days will be sufficient with a focused team.
You have an opportunity to begin finding interested Pilgrims, and committed servants.
We may find out the wisdom in having things in place farther in advance, as is recommended.
You MAY begin praying  now, for God to be at work in the hearts of people, those that need to be involved.  Thank you for your support.
